Remarks :

Identification confirmed by Bill Rudman and Hsini Lin
Gosliner (1995) : "At the margin of the parapodia is an burnt orange longitudinal band. Below this band is a black band. Both bands are covered with minute opaque white spots ". Usualy, in specimens observed at Mayotte and Reunion, it appears that there is a single black-brown band nearly homogeneous, but in some specimen the colour of the parapodial margin consisting of an outer black and an inner burnt orange band...
    Synonymous : (according Worms)
               - Elysia moebii (Bergh, 1888)                        - Plakobranchus moebii Bergh, 1888

Bibliographic data :

The intensity of the bluish-green may depend on the concentration of algal material in the digestive gland ducts, but too few animals have been reported to be sure.
The head is the same colour as the rest of the body
One specimen of this species was collected from Reunion Island by Michael Gosliner and Gary Williams.
