This species has been observed on Reunion, Mauritius, Mayotte and Madagascar Islands

Species characteristics :
The thick mantle margin is either pale creamly yellow or white, and the notum purplish translucent with few irregular opaque white patches
The gills are translucent white with in some specimen a tinge of orange on the rachis
The rhinophores are translucent white with an terminal orange or green-brown core
The foot is translucent white with white patches.

According Narthalie Yonow " Verconia has these ‘body curves' but Thorunna sometimes also can have the same body shape …"
