- Risbecia bullockii, (Collingwood, 1881)
Bibliographic data :
Originally described from the South China Sea, this species is found in the western Pacific as far south as southern Queensland. It is also found in north western Australia and Thailand.
Hyspelodoris bullocki coloring is highly variable around the world (see website for Bill Rudman to see this biodiversity) but in Reunion, Mauritius and Mayotte all specimens seen have the same characteristics : a body blue or pink pretty pale, gills and rhinophores are yellow or orange with a basal pink or purplish band. The coloration of the Seychelles specimen is similar but the coloration of the notum and foot is paler. The rhinophores of Madagascar specimen very dark...
The egg mass (yellow ribbon) is made up of thousands of individual eggs, giving a speckled appearance
It feeds on an unidentified species of Dysidea.
