Species characteristics :

This species has a translucent, straw-colored shell with fine striae

The animal is cream blotched with olive and brown more or less dark

Dark brown spots, orange-brown spots and white flecks show through the shell but, in  older animals, the shell becomes thicker and darker partially obscuring the underlying pattern. Rarely, dark spots may be lacking.

There is a band of darker blotches between the eye spots on top of the head.

Remarks :

According Maurice Jay and Raymond Huet, shell specialists from Reunion Island "Looks like Haminoea aperta..."
    Looks like Haminoea sp. 4 from Mauritius in NSSI, Nudibranch & Sea Slug Identification, Indo-Pacific, Gosliner, Valdés & Behrens, 2015
    Similar in coloration with Haminoea natalensis               

Bibliographic data :

Found crawling on the surface of rocks covered with green algae in 1 m.

Shell description by Maurice Jay :

.

Globular, buried whorl, outer lip barely higher than the whorl. Opening flared down. Appearance smooth, but microsculpture visible with the magnifying glass at curling day, made of very fine tight corrugated spiral nets, crossing of irregular axial furrows a little stronger. Translucent white with pale gray mottles.
    Height 11mm
    Very close to Haminoea aperta (2428), it is she who stands out above all by size.
    2 live spmns collected in a Kelonia Basin where there was a whole group, November 2006.
