Species characteristics :

Identification confirmed by Bill Rudman and Nathalie Yonow
This species looks like Doris ananas
but there are some differences : Terry Gosliner in Indo-Pacific
nudibranchs and seaslugs (2008) considered that they are two differents
species as Nathalie Yonow.

Specimens description :
The specimens without black tip on the larges tubercles are only described from Mauritius and Reunion
The underside of the mantle and the foot are yellow with some little marginal black spots
The rhinophores stalks are translucide pale yellow. The lamellate clubs
are yellow with increased dark grey to black coloration on the upper
half.
The base on gill's axes are yellow like the mantle. The ramifications
of the gills are dark grey on the axis and more pale grey on the edge.
It's found on tropical shallow water reef, where it feeds on sponges
