Mauritius, Aplysia dactylomela, at Mahebourg, by David Caron

David Caron

Locality : Mahebourg, "Pointe d'Esni" lagoon

Length :

Depth : 1-1.5 m

Date : November 2004

Remarks : The sea-urchin send an idea of the Aplysia's size.

It 's a photo of Aplysia dactylomela. Like in Reunion island it seems that the rings, characteristic of this species, can become quite small. May be a South Indian Ocean color form...
